The dynattenik DeStatiX-A9 is a 1-port USB to RS232 (DB9) serial adapter built on the FTDI FT232RL chipset. It gives engineers working with legacy RS232 equipment nine status LEDs for real-time signal monitoring, RTS/CTS hardware flow control, baud rates from 300 bps to 921.6 Kbps, and 8kV–15kV ESD protection — bus-powered, and ready for Windows 11, macOS 15 and Linux.

A single-port converter that bridges a modern USB port to legacy RS232 serial equipment. The DeStatiX-A9 is built on the FTDI FT232RL chipset, ends in a DB9 male connector, and adds nine status LEDs so you can watch TXD, RXD and the handshake lines without a breakout box or a scope.
Which systems work with the dynattenik FTDI adapter?
Windows 11, macOS 15 and Linux. Windows and macOS use the FTDI virtual COM port driver; mainstream Linux distributions carry FTDI support in-tree, so the port appears on plug-in with no driver to install.
What can I connect to the dynattenik FTDI USB adapter?
Anything that speaks RS232: PLCs and industrial controllers, CNC machines, point-of-sale terminals and receipt printers, laboratory and medical instruments, switch and router console ports, GPS receivers and older diagnostic kit.
Does the dynattenik FTDI RS232 adapter need a power supply?
No. It is USB bus-powered and takes what it needs from the host port, so there is no brick and no extra cable — which is the point when you are commissioning on site.
Is the dynattenik USB RS232 adapter tough enough for industrial use?
It carries ESD protection rated 8kV–15kV per IEC 61000-4-2, uses a DB9 connector that screws down so vibration cannot work it loose, and drives true RS232 signal levels rather than TTL. The nine LEDs exist because a link that has failed silently is the hardest kind to diagnose.
